Husband. Dad. Coach.

Health should improve your life. Not take it over.

I help busy parents look after their health without giving up meals out, weekends away, holidays, festivals or the parts of life they genuinely enjoy.

Husband. Dad. Coach.

Hi, I'm Martyn Kelland

I coach the way I live.

I'm the founder of The Healthy Parent Club, a husband, a dad of two and I've spent more than 20 years helping people improve their health and fitness.

I train, I look after myself and I take my health seriously. But I also enjoy meals out, socialising, holidays, festivals and a beer with friends.

I do not coach perfection, and I do not expect people to build their entire life around a diet or training plan. The aim is to find the right balance and create a system that works around real life.

Why this matters so much to me

My family shaped everything this business stands for.

My dad

When I was 19, my dad died suddenly from a heart attack at just 56 years old.

He worked incredibly hard, often put everyone else first and never really prioritised his own health. Losing him changed the way I looked at health forever.

It made me realise that looking after ourselves is not selfish. It is one of the most important things we can do for the people who depend on us.

The reason I want to stay healthy

My daughter, Neve, was born blind and has faced additional challenges throughout her life. Although she regained a significant amount of her sight when she was very young, she still lives with those challenges today.

As Neve gets older, she'll need ongoing support because independent living isn't going to be an option for her.

That's one of the biggest reasons I take my own health seriously. I want to give myself the best possible chance of being around for as long as I can. I see myself as her guardian angel, and I want to be there to support her, look out for her and help her navigate whatever life throws at her.

That doesn't mean never eating pizza, never having a beer or spending every spare minute in the gym. It means living a healthy, balanced life that gives me the best chance of being present for the people who matter most.

I also want to set the right example. Not by being perfect, but by showing that looking after your health is one of the greatest gifts you can give both yourself and the people you love.

The Healthy Parent Club

Built for parents whose own health keeps slipping down the list.

Work, family, appointments, responsibilities and everyday life can easily take over. Before long, food becomes more convenient, movement drops, sleep suffers and you feel as though you are constantly starting again.

The Healthy Parent Club was created to replace that cycle with something simpler: practical habits, clear structure, honest feedback and accountability that fits around the life you already have.

My coaching philosophy

Run your body like a business.

You do not need to be a business owner to understand the idea.

Companies such as Google and Amazon did not become global juggernauts by guessing. They look at the data, see what is working, spot where things are going wrong and keep making small improvements.

Your body and your health are no different.

We look at the useful information, such as your habits, activity, food, sleep, energy and progress. Then we use that data to make sensible changes and help you build healthier habits that actually stick.

Measure. Review. Improve.

This is not about obsessing over numbers. It is about replacing guesswork with useful information and knowing what to focus on next.

Track the habits that matter.
See what is helping or holding you back.
Tweak the plan instead of starting again.
Build progress through small, repeatable improvements.

What it all comes back to

More healthy years with the people who matter most.

Not perfection. Not living in the gym. Not giving everything up. Just a healthier, stronger and more capable version of you.

Let's have a chat.

Tell me where you are now, what you would like to improve and what keeps getting in the way. There is no pressure and no hard sell.
